Hi there! Well, I'm a groomer, as many of you know, and many groomers out there are having a very difficult time knowing what to do with these gorgeous Doodle coats. It is my desire to offer this as a "help page" for owners and their groomers, so your doodle always looks Doodlerific! Check out the info below and then visit the
Doodle Care Kit page to see if you'd like to start your Doodle off on the right paw. Every new puppy owner needs one! The Doodle Care Kit is a special, add-on perk, reserved for Winding Creek Ranch "new puppy families" only. :)
I would like to take this opportunity to show you just how different a doodle can look depending on the grooming style. To your left, you are actually looking at 3 pictures of the same dog! In the first picture, the doodle had become extremely matted. You can tell by how the ears appear to stand out sideways a bit. You can't tell just how matted she is down her chest and belly but it was severe. Her facial fur had been trimmed down to make her more comfortable but she still needed a lot of work. In the picture below that, you see the result of her groom. If you look closely, you can see the lower chest and down the belly had to be closely shaved. Being able to save this much fur was unexpected though. She turned out pretty good! In the 3rd picture, you see what she looks like when her fur is kept mid-length and she is groomed regularly. Doodles' fur can reach a lenth of up to 4 inches long and it can become matted if you wait too long to visit the groomer or you don't do enough maitenance at home. There are some nice tools in the Goldendoodle Care Kit so make sure you consider adding that to your list of items to make your life easier. Another reason I posted this is for you to be able to see what a drastic difference the style can make in the looks of your doodle.
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
