One of the reasons we enjoy what we do so much is because of the opportunities we have been afforded in meeting new families and making new friends. Our puppies are very important to us and we want them and the families that adopt them to be happy together for many years to come. We are responsible for the proper care of our breeding dogs throughout the year and for giving their offspring the best start in life. Our families rely on us to care for and protect their puppies until they are 8 wks old and can go to their new homes. What many people don't realize is that you can walk across a contaminated area and carry deadly viruses and diseases on your shoes which can, in turn, wipe out an entire litter in 48 hours or less from the moment of exposure. This is not a joke. While it may sound like being over-protective to some, we know of breeders out there who have had it happen to them. Therefore, we just cannot take any chances.
We also have some of our adult dogs in guardian homes. Therefore, if you want to meet the parents before committing to a puppy, this would most likely be impossible. However, it should be very reassuring to you that our dogs are not kennel dogs but are actually functioning everyday as a pet, living with a family who loves them very much.
Besides the health risks involved with having lots of foot traffic on our property, we also need to prevent families, especially children, from meeting the puppies and becoming attached to a particular puppy based on looks or a perceived personality trait that would be unreliable prior to the temperament testing being done. Therefore, we do not show entire litters of puppies to families. We hope that our clients can put their trust in our process. If you still feel uneasy, please do your research on us. We have a very healthy online presence, with lots of reviews on Google and Facebook! :)
So, I do hope you can understand our position. While we would love show off our dogs to you, and do understand your concerns, we hope that our online reputation will give you the reassurance you need. Feel free to check us out (and Follow us where possible) on Facebook, Instagram, GANA, GoodDog, Google, in "The Goldendoodle Handbook," etc. Before you go, we recommend taking time to read through the following pages of this website: Our Difference, Our Process, and Allocations.
Thank you for understanding our position and that it is in the best interest of the puppies that we limit visits to our ranch. We do look forward to meeting you and introducing you to your new puppy! :o)
