I realize this page lacks a lot right now but the future looks bright! Eventually, I hope to display a fully instructional Goldendoodle grooming page, complete with photos and everything. Sound exciting? Well, I'm a groomer, as many of you know, and many groomers out there are having a very difficult time knowing what to do with these doodles. It is my desire to offer this as a "help page" for owners and their groomers, so your doodle always looks Doodlerific! For now, please see below for some very important information regarding your Goldendoodle Care Kit. Every new puppy owner needs one! The Goldendoodle Care Kit is reserved for Winding Creek Ranch "new puppy families" only.
I would like to take this opportunity to show you just how different a doodle can look depending on the grooming style. To your left, you are actually looking at 3 pictures of the same dog! In the first picture, the doodle had become extremely matted. You can tell by how the ears appear to stand out sideways a bit. You can't tell just how matted she is down her chest and belly but it was severe. Her facial fur had been trimmed down to make her more comfortable but she still needed a lot of work. In the picture below that, you see the result of her groom. If you look closely, you can see the lower chest and down the belly had to be closely shaved. Being able to save this much fur was unexpected though. She turned out pretty good! In the 3rd picture, you see what she looks like when her fur is kept mid-length and she is groomed regularly. Doodles' fur can reach a lenth of up to 4 inches long and it can become matted if you wait too long to visit the groomer or you don't do enough maitenance at home. There are some nice tools in the Goldendoodle Care Kit so make sure you consider adding that to your list of items to make your life easier. Another reason I posted this is for you to be able to see what a drastic difference the style can make in the looks of your doodle.
Goldendoodle Care Kit
~A must-have for your new Goldendoodle puppy and you.~
Hi there! It's Christy here. It's my belief that I am in a unique position being a Goldendoodle breeder who is also a professional dog groomer. From one litter to the next, I've noticed a trend amongst our new puppy owners...lots of confusion and concern over getting the "right" care products for their new puppy. That makes sense. We all want what is best for our most important furry companion. It's fun and easy to pick out toys, collars and blankets but what about care items? I always make it a point to send out helpful, informational emails and "New Puppy Checklists" for the new owners. However, one commonality is the question of "Which ONE should I get?" Whether it be a brush, comb, shampoo, etc. it is VERY confusing to try and guess which product will work best or at all. Many times, we end up with items we don't like and may even buy several before we find something that actually works the way we want it to. Comb teeth can be too close together. Some brushes get stuck in the fur and are painful for the dog or they don't work to get the tangles out which then turn into mats. Which shampoo won't irritate or dry out my dog's skin and coat? With the right shampoo you can bathe your dog once/week. Which ear cleaner is best? The list goes on and on. So much wasted time, money and frustration can result in this whole process. I have personally owned and operated my own grooming shop for 8 years now. I use these products every single day. With that experience, I have decided to offer what I believe is a much needed and will be much appreciated service to all of our new puppy families. Winding Creek Ranch is offering a Goldendoodle Care Kit which includes the following:
1. Tote bag
2. 16 oz bottle of concentrated shampoo
3. Dilution Bottle for shampoo
4. Coat Conditioner
5. Pet Cologne
8. Dematting Comb
9. Safety Shears (for at home touch-ups)
10. Ear Cleaner
11. Dental Kit
12. Nail Clippers
13. Styptic (just in case)
14. Bottle of Rinseless Shampoo
**We also have a cordless nail file, which is optional, for an additional $30.
***All of these items have been hand-picked by me. They are professional grooming tools and products. I believe this is an invaluable service and I am pleased to be able to offer this to our clients to save time, money and headaches. ;o) The cost for this kit is $150 (or $180 with a cordless nail file). Please add $20 for s/h if you need your kit shipped to your home. The kits are already put together for you to save you lots of valuable time and take out the guesswork. That way, if you need more of something, you can order it. All you need to do is let me know ahead of time that you would like to add this kit onto the purchase of your puppy. I think you will find it a relief to know you have all that shopping done. Besides, now just think of all the extra time you'll have to shop for toys, blankets, collars, leashes, ID tags, designer food/water bowls, doogie fashion and accessories. ;o)
